The holidays sure are busy, in a good way of course! Josh was out of town for a military training, and we missed him LOTS and LOTS! The kids and I started off the day at Grandma and Papa's house to celebrate Papa's birthday. The kids swam in the backyard, colored patriotic pictures, and read a little story about patriotic holidays. They had a blast, as they always do, and I really appreciated the low-maintenance activities...as I always do :) Annabelle and Paige swam in the little hot tub for long while! We couldn't believe how long they stayed in there! They were having a ton of fun and they both wore themselves out :)

Mmmmmm...pool water tastes the best, right? |

The girls have been loving coloring this summer! They will sit for an hour or more at a time and color--Brittany and I think it's way awesome! :)
The first half of our holiday was everything a summer holiday should be: Swimming in the backyard on a lazy afternoon with cousins, then coming in for a light lunch, drinks, popsicles, and coloring. Happy Birthday Papa! We LOVE you! |
