Happy Valentine's Day Daddy!

Annabelle and I decided to put together a little craft for Josh on Valentine's Day. She was so excited to help me cut the paper, and tell me everything she LOVES about her daddy! I got this cute idea from a friend, and it was perfect. Using a mini muffin pan, we came up with 24 reasons Annabelle loves Josh. I thought I would have to help her, tell her what to say, etc., but when I asked her to start telling me why she loves her daddy, she gave me 17 reasons without so much as taking a breath! :) I was shocked! For the remaining 7 reasons, I only had to give her general subjects of interest, and she provided even more reasons why she loved him. It was so cute, and she and I counted down the minutes until he got home to see his special valentines (my valentine to Josh was a drill)--can you believe we had to wait even longer because he went to workout after he got off work?! I guess you can't look that good without putting in the time right? :) Well, after he came home to his special surprises, he was all smiles and Annabelle was beaming. As he read each little reason out loud, Annabelle would giggle and blush. Adorable!

A Beautiful Valentine's Feast

This year my mom hosted a WONDERFUL Valentine's dinner! It was so fun to walk in and see the beautiful table and decorations, not to mention the darling favors and treats at each place setting. I LOVE having festive holiday dinners like this, epecially when the kids are young. It makes the holiday so much more fun and exciting, and it's REALLY nice when the kids actually get excited about sitting down for dinner! :) Thanks mom for the fun kick-off to Valentines's Day! We all LOVED it, and we all LOVE you!
